BSG Stahl Riesa

BSG Stahl Riesa is a traditional German football club based in the city of Riesa in the federal state of Saxony, with a history closely linked to the development of workers’ football and grassroots sports in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR). Founded in 1963 under the name Betriebssportgemeinschaft Stahl Riesa, the club represented the local steel industry and quickly became a sporting pride of the region.
