Hunteburger SV – More Than Just a Sports Club
Hunteburger SV (HSV), founded in 1923 by Heinrich Tovar, is a multi-sport club that plays a vital role in the social and cultural life of Hunteburg. Proudly wearing our blue and white colors, we offer a wide range of sports including football, table tennis, volleyball, athletics, tennis, and badminton.
In the early years, football was played exclusively—often on local farmers’ fields. Today, the club features a modern 22×44 meter sports hall, opened on 1 April 2002, where up to three groups can train simultaneously. With over 1,400 members, HSV is the largest sports club in Hunteburg, with nearly one in three residents being a member.
HSV focuses not only on competition but also on recreation, health, and social interaction. We aim to be a welcoming place for children, youth, and adults, where well-being and community go hand in hand. With 20 active departments and 18 football teams – including recreational and senior squads – HSV continues to inspire young people to stay active and involved.
Hunteburger SV is more than a club – it’s a community built on sportsmanship and unity, committed to offering youth a safe and motivating environment. We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to our success over the past 85+ years.
